Back to Escape, where the hero has confessed his guilt over the heroine’s abduction. Let’s see what she has to say about that.
Her eyes narrowed, as if maybe she heard thoughts left unspoken. “It wasn’t his fault. Or yours. You were just doing your job. No.” She put a hand to her forehead, the gesture at once emphasizing her fragility and underscoring her strength.
The Wicked Nights Sale is still going on, including my book Trust in Me as well as books by some of my favorite authors, including Annabel Joseph, Claire Thompson, Annika Martin, and more. Like Pokemon, be sure to catch them all 🙂
Back to Escape, where the hero is telling the heroine how it was her father’s work with the FBI that had led to her abduction. His own work too…
“That was years ago, there was no reason to link the two except for the note. Then you were free and he needed to be there to help you heal. It’s up to you, but I’d prefer you don’t tell him. The guilt…” It was like ice, cutting him open and keeping him that way, frozen. But how could he complain to her after what she had been through?

Back to Escape, where the hero is telling the heroine how he found her…
“Between the FBI blocking us and the usual red tape, they couldn’t get permission for a raid.” He shook his head, pushing away all the illegal shit he’d pulled just to get her location, trying to forget the pain of arriving there only to find it empty. Luckily he’d had some basic skills in tracking and had found the trail of a single person, barefoot—her.
“If this is all true, then why didn’t my father tell me?”
“He doesn’t know.”
I wanted to let you know about an awesome group sale I’m a part of. The Wicked Nights Sale has some seriously great BDSM and erotic books from bestselling authors, all for $0.99 each.

Back to Escape, where the hero just told the heroine about the “note” left in her hotel room by her kidnappers…
There had been no written note, just a leather whip laced with blood, but she didn’t need to know that detail.
“But if you and my dad helped catch the guys two years ago, then how…”
“These men are like insects. You destroy the hive and they just build another, only bigger. That combined agency taskforce caught the low-hanging fruit, while everyone important got away. This time was even worse.”
Welcome back! My hero was just saying something to the heroine about when he’d first met her and her recent kidnapping…
“You were younger then, and I didn’t have this.” He waved at the beard that had grown in since he’d stopped giving a shit.
Abruptly, she stood and went to the door, but he got the idea that she needed air more than escape. “You think it’s related,” she said in a thin voice.
“I know it is. There was a note left in your hotel room saying so.”
Hi guys! My Hear Me blog tour has begun, so be sure to stop in for chances to win $200 in gift cards and ebooks. Without further ado, here is the next snippet from Escape, where the hero is telling the heroine something she may not be ready to hear….
“How do you know that?”
“I worked with them. We do a lot of crossover stuff. Local intel contributing to the larger cases, that sort of thing. Your dad was part of a major bust two years ago, but I’ve been working with him since before then. I even met you once, when I happened to be in town for your big July 4th party.”
Just a quick note to let you guys know that my blog tour for Hear Me has begun. I’m giving away several gift cards totaling $200 as well as some ebooks along the way. So far I’ve visited these three awesome blogs:
We’re counting down to the end of Escape. And remember folks, the full thing is included at the end of Hear Me. Both are set in my Dark Erotica world. Last week the hero had just agreed to explain his part in her abduction… and had stopped to excuse himself for swearing.
She gave him a small smile. “It’s okay. My dad’s a cop, so I’m used to it.”
“That’s right. Drug task force.”
Her smile slipped.
So, Hear Me is officially released and available at Amazon, B&N, and All Romance. The blog tour doesn’t start until Oct 1 but it did get its first review on Amazon, 5 stars, which says, ” HEAR ME has a smart and eloquent literary quality that stands out from page one.”
And guess what? I have the complete and edited version of ESCAPE included at the end as a bonus. Check it out…
“But I was already there. So you couldn’t have had anything to do with me getting chosen.” She looked perplexed, hopeful—and without an ounce of recognition.
“It was a trap. They were fucking with—” He caught himself. “Pardon me.”
She doesn’t remember her past, only her training. She can’t talk, not that a good slave should speak out of turn. None of that matters when she wakes up in the warm, rustic room. Her new master is distant but kind. There’s only one problem: he doesn’t want her.
Longing for the shackles of safety, she pulls from the last dregs of her will to prove her worth as a slave. It seems to be working. He responds first to her body and next to her submission. The secrets of his past haunt the cabin, fraying the tightening bond between Master and slave, but it is her own memories that may finally unravel it.
This book contains a bonus short story Escape, set in the same dark erotica world.
WARNING:
This book contains explicit scenes of sex, including dubious consent and captivity situations. The BDSM does not conform to literary conventions, making it sometimes more realistic, and other times not. This is a work of fiction not appropriate for anyone uncomfortable with these situations or anyone under the age of eighteen.
Hear Me is actually sitting on my hard drive ready to go, but I ran into an ISBN snafu, so I’ll probably send it to the distributors on Monday.
Escape is set in the same dark erotica world and big reveals are happening…
“What are you talking about?”
“I’m a… well, I was a DEA agent, investigating some of the men involved. The trafficking thing wasn’t our jurisdiction; we couldn’t touch it.” He shook his head, trying to explain how it had killed him to turn over the evidence to the FBI and watch them do nothing. “So I forced their hand: I planted evidence that the head office couldn’t ignore. They green-lighted a raid, and so we went in.”
Hear Me is one week away! Escape is set in the same dark erotica world and coming down to the wire…
“I got paid for it,” he said. “That’s why I did it.”
“You didn’t get paid for sitting with me,” she reminded him without missing a beat.
She misunderstood. She thought he meant his parents paying him to locate her. “That was just–“ He cleared his throat against the thickness. “I’m the reason you were chosen.”
Hear Me is coming out in two short weeks! Escape is set in the same dark erotica world and coming down to the wire…
He despised the grateful note in her soft voice, the almost awed glint in her eyes. She thought he was a hero because her parents had told her so. But if he were a hero, she wouldn’t have the scars he could see beneath the hem of her sleeves. If he were a hero, she wouldn’t have the nightmares that gave her the shadows beneath her warm brown eyes.
He couldn’t stand for her to think well of him when he was the one who hurt her. There was one surefire way to kill any gratitude she felt for him: honesty.
Previously, I had participated in hops and they brought in great traffic. But although they had a other authors of erotic romance and erotica, I personally found the mix of genres jarring. I had to wonder, how many of these people were actually potential readers of my books? For one of my giveaways, I asked a question about the last erotica/dark erotica book they had read, and honestly, most of them weren’t erotic at all, but standard romance fare. Nothing wrong with that, but I wanted to target my potential readers better.
I searched for a hop specifically for erotic/kinky books, and when I didn’t find one I made my own. The Hot Summer Nights blog hop had over 100 erotic authors and kinky blogs participating and we received over 6000 comments across the hop!
That was awesome, and then the question became, can we do it again – BUT BIGGER? Because that is how I roll.
….announcing the Naughty New Years Bloghop! Our grand prizes are a $100 gift card to the fun and classy online sex shop EdenFantasys AND a digital gift basket of 10 new release erotic books. In addition, each host will provide a giveaway of their own, books, gift cards, etc.
The really cool thing is that up until now I had only invited the folks who had participated last year, and already we have 94 hops!!! That’s crazy-wonderful! And I’m hoping that YOU will join us and we’ll have even more folks! Why? Because size matters when it comes to bloghops, folks. The more hosts we have, and the more we all promote the event, the more readers we get! I know all those lovely readers are going to be armed with new e-readers and gift cards after the holidays, so I’m really excited to give my fellow erotica authors an opportunity to showcase their latest releases.
If you’re new to bloghops or just need more information, check out the hop page here. Or if you’re ready to party, sign up below:
Escape is set in my dark erotica world, just like Keep Me Safe and Trust in Me…. and Hear Me, which has a release date of September 15th! If you’re just tuning in, Escape can be read here from the beginning until now, where we’re nearing the end. Here we go…
She looked down at her folded hands then back up at him. “I need to thank you. My parents told me what you did for me. I know that you saved me. I also know you stayed beside me at the hospital before my parents got there.” She frowned. “I can’t remember most of it, but just knowing that someone cared enough to do that…well, it means a lot to me.”
We are in the home stretch of this serial, I promise! And then we will get to move onto snippets of Hear Me, which is my new release in the Dark Erotica series coming… soon. Like, really soon!
She had definitely gained weight from the gaunt figure she’d been in the hospital bed, but she still looked too slim. Fragile. What was she doing driving through the mountains alone?
“What do you want?” he asked, too loudly.
His heart squeezed as she winced. He should be able to control himself better than that, but he’d misplaced his control after seeing her broken and begging and hadn’t found it since.
Welcome to the next installment of my short story, Escape. If you’re new here, read from the beginning here. Escape is set in the same world as my latest release, Trust in Me.
“Fine.” He wanted to say no, to tell her to leave, but he couldn’t. He led her inside without another word, shoving the gun onto a high shelf.
She sat on the lumpy futon carefully, as if it might give in any second. She probably didn’t realize that he slept right there every night, and if his 200-pound frame couldn’t do the thing in, her dainty self wasn’t going to do the trick either.

He didn’t know why he was gruff with her. Sure, he didn’t want people bugging him, but she didn’t count. She could bother him any way she wanted and he would deserve it. The scary part, the part that made him scowl , was that he’d probably enjoy it anyway.
“I thought maybe we could visit.” She bit her lip and her eyes flicked over to the leaning-sideways shanty that he now called home.

This Tiffany was solemn, beautiful, and coming toward him. He’d hoped never to see her again, but he couldn’t deny the lick of pleasure at the sight of her—strong and healthy. Maybe that was worst part, the things she stirred in him, dark and carnal.
“Are you going to use that, mister?” she asked.
He glanced at his hand, where he’d pointed the gun at the ground. “What the hell are you doing here?”
